nice, but I cant tell, is the Z pulling, or is the SRT slowing down? they seem damn near even match minus the get go.
also not sure why there would be any turbo spooling on a roll launch. they should have that thing high in the RPMs...

Funny, the video only last a couple of seconds because it cuts off as soon as the Z starts to catch back up and the guys lets off the throttle. Also, there was no signal to start the race he just took off so he got the jump. Seems like he didn't want to get beat.
Is the Z anyone here on the board???
yeah, that wasnt much of a race .... sounded nice ... but not really anything conclusive .
and guys, give respect to the Neon, it is a decent handling and very quick little bargain ... yeah it is a Neon and they have $15k or so still in thier pockets that we don't
I just don't want all us Z owners to ge the rep like the M3 owners ... just give respect to the car that is fast ... might not be your style or flavor, but its still a steal of a deal .. ymmv

The Neon is a nice car in it's own right, and you definitely get alot of performance for the $$$, but it just doesn't compare to the Z.
The video was cool though - that Z is sweet.
To me, it looked as though the Neon started before the Z both times, but the Z began to pull on him both times.
In the second "race" when the Z started to beat the Neon, the Z slowed down and the clip ended.

I thought it belonged to Wicked4u2c. he had a turbo kit, but only for about 2 weeks and is now selling it last I heard. also he has some massive brakes, which you do not see on that z in the vid.
the rest seemed like a match.

anyway....that video is crap. whoever was in the z seemed like he was taking a sunday stroll.
It doesnt even look like they were racing...
...meaning, no the car doesnt sound/look bad, but the video does. If both cars sound like that stock, then someone needs to destroy both vehicles and tell show them what a REAL modified car sounds like.
First of all who goes turbo without exhaust? Even with a silencer, my car is still extremely loud. I have a full heavy duty stereo amplifying my PC and I still didnt hear anything.. sounds like some cheap 18-year old video'd him and his hommie driving so that they can add cheap techno music and impress their girlfriends.
Thank god for real video footage: BEST MOTORING!

SRT's are bad little cars. To me it looked like gearing is not too great or very bad gear selection for the Z. It looked like he just leisurely "got into it". And it also looks like the SRT gives up in the second run. If he did, that SRT looked like he could have chalked up a kill.
hahaha that video is helarious, if you were smart eneough and have raced from a rolling start their usually is a horn going off to start racing....that Z had no clue.....he kept up pretty well for not being informed when to go.....but i do understand where you all are coming from i spent 30k for a Z not a neon......i dont care what people say i love my Z
