Why spend 500+ if fuijitas looks like the same thing pretty much and is suppose to be like 300? Long as they put a nice cone filter on with some smooth piping instead of the accordian piping, should be fine.

I've done ECU datalogging on my old car to see the effects of "heat soak" in daily driving traffic with a short ram intake. Long story short, heat soak is a bunch of BS. Only time it's a problem is if you're stopped for any length of time with the hood closed. As soon as your car is moving the engine has tons of new air circulating through it and in 30 seconds you're IAT (iintake air temperature) is back to whatever the ambient temperature is outside, or a couple degrees warmer at worst.

You are trying to hard. You lose 5% on the street, Track, Drag it does not matter. The refference in my post to the track is showing poof that there is an effect. Enjoy.

Glad to see you know that I am high and mighty. Thanks

Back to topic(I hope)....I hope JWT is coming out with he Popchargers soon, It should be around the same price,if not cheaper than the Fujita.

"A thread about nothing." lol $500 for $20 worth of pipe and two filters, it reminds me of 2003 all over again.

Yeah hell of a mark up. Even if they charge $100.00 for the R&D that went into it, it should still be at around $200.00 to make a GOOD profit.

That would be a type O and I dont take this that serious to worry about spelling or type Os. Anyway kidding aside
I can wait to hear an open filter like the nismo or popcharger on the 07 dual intake. What ever it does to HP some times the sound of the intake is worth the few ponys.

what he said ^^

As soon as you start rolling there is ALOT more air circulation in that engine bay then some of you think. Those air duct things that people buy...worthless.

looks like a high-flow short ram. The should have used the cover boxes like stillen used in their design. Wish stillen didnt use the factory ribbed rubber hoses that feed up to the throttle bodies though...

My idea of the perfect intake would be a plastic material painted black to look stock, nismo design plus using the stillen heatshield boxes....

How do you like the sound conbination of the Stillen intake with the Nismo exhaust? why would u b ditching the stillen intakes? (if u do ill buy them). You should dyno your car!

They might not have gotten that far.

Like I said I saw two versions and they were both incomplete from a visual standpoint. I got the feeling they just bolted the up to some test cars.

I send an email to the NISMO product planning contact I have.

Just curious. Ask your contact if Nismo will be doing any advertising or commercials for the Nismo Z?

good luck haus. i have the Stillen intakes on my 07 and i wanted to change out the stock pipes that lead to the TBs. looks a lot easier than it is. i bought some pipes, drilled holes, put in couplings to hook up to the PCVs, etc. the stock tubes are a PITA to get off in the first place (don't mess with the strut bar, it's a bish to get back on). then i had a hard time putting the new tubes on. needless to say, i failed, so the stockers went back on.

but keep us updated on whatever you do, i would like to see how it works. it would be nice if someone sold just the tubes from the MAFs back to the TBs.

I will get pictures of my creation this weeken hopefully if I can find some 03-06 MAF housing, since I had to give back my GF and friend MAF housing.....=) but good thing I have the pipe already cut out and ready.....
