i emailed Injen a few weeks ago. They were working on a 4 door G35 Sedan. Didn't offer much info other then that. I even specifically asked for an estimated release date... I was very disapointed with their response.

I dont know if JWT is working on something for the HR, but if they do I would suspect that they would duplicate their efforts on the stack. If I was an 07 owner I would be waiting on that intake. It was the best intake for the 03-06 and should follow suit.
Actually the Stillen intake was the best intake not the JWT. Even if the JWT had a Velocity stack. The Stillen intake and JWT are almost identical except the end of the filter on the JWT is open as well. But the Stillen has a better heatshield over the JWT.

Can an engine get hotter due to the type of different intakes??? Sure it can...Is there a difference in performance??? Until someone can prove this to be a fact instead of saying they feel a difference, or took temp. readings, I'll stick with what I have personally encountered...Oh, calling a person over the internet an idiot without personally knowing them is a little immature...Must be one of those internet gangsta's, huh?
I'm sure that running on the track or strip can for extended periods of time can cause problems, but do you track or drag your car that often???
Actually someone has. The owner of Nissan Sport Magazine did these tests on his G35 before he ever owned the magazine. The JWT brought in more hot air over the stock or Stillen.

O.k, but what kind of power did he lose? When you dyno a car, it is strapped down and air has no way to move through the engine bay effectively as to it moving while driving it..Those fans they put in front of your car doesn't even come close to cooling the car .Logging can tell you that each intake has a certain level of a issue with heatsoak or not in real world test, but is there enough of a difference to make this a major issue with this car?

He wasn't on a dyno. He was driving the car in normal conditions and saw even at highway speeds the JWT brought in hotter air.

Stillen and obviously stock are pretty much sealed and have good heat protection. Now another thing to consider. These long tube CAIs are bad for power loss in ways as well, but they also bring in the heat from the ground (which is hotter than knee level temps where the stock intake/stillen pull from).
