[QUOTE=Riley07]First Off, if you decide to get these intakes, do yourself a big favor and take the strut bar off!!! The passenger side intake was a breeze to fit, but the drivers side was hell with the strut bar in place...I scratched the intake tubing a little trying to hurry instead of taking my time and doing it right.. But the instructions were pretty clear and it went smoothly after I finally came to my senses and took it off to finish the install...After the install I hooked the battery back up and let the car idle for 15+ minutes so the ecu could relearn the maps and also to check for a CEL and what not...QUOTE]
did you have a hard time putting back the strut bar??? i've read in other forums with people have trouble putting it back on and stripping the threads. if not how did you put it back on, any tricks to it? Im just worried that if i take it off during install i wont be able to put it back on and screw myself big time.

Yeah, it was a *****!!!! When putting it back on, you will notice that after you tighten up the bolts on one side, the other side will not line up...These particular bolts need to be lined up perfect with the bolt holes in order not to strip the threads out...I suggest jacking up the side that doesn't line up until you notice that the holes line up...That's what I did and didn't really have a problem...It looks like you can start the bolts when you try to line it up, but if you start to tighten them, the bracket of the strut bar has so much tension on it that it rubs on the threads of the bolts..That's why it is important to line then up the best you can...Hope this helps!

I found out the hard way taking off the strut bar when I was removing my stock suspension. Stripped them here and there.
I'm actually anticipating the dual Injen's coming this January.

Actually I heard it on here somewhere...You'll notice that when you do take one side off, there is a lot of tension...I may be wrong, but I didn't adjust mine, I just jacked one side of the car up and lined the holes back up that way...
