so vit viper how much of the weak pedal/sticking problem would you attribute to the dampener and how much to the clutch/hydraulic assembly as a whole? I thought there was some sort of design flaw with the 07 slave assembly?

My break down? When the slave cylinder was leaking it was all slave... couldn't trust the pedal to do jack when launching at RPM. After the slave was fixed...

20% Dampener
30% Clutch
50% Weak pressure plate

Clamping power is a definitely better now that the dampener is gone so the clutch/pressure plate being a tad on the weak side isn't very noticeable during redline shifts anymore (a lot more grab now).

The only problem with the slave I can tell is that being inside the tranny fluid gets hot pretty easy -- much better now with the Motul.

When I had my 06 I had the same issues withthe clutch sticking. So this problem is not only for the 07's but Im guessing the 07'shave it more due to the slave cylinder design. Last night I got a couple good 5k rpm launches without the pedal sticking

Hey Vit, do you think a small length of vacuum hose and some clamps would be able to work in place of the coupler? If so (without leaking), I think that would be much easier for the average person to do the swap in their spare time.

Honestly... it might leak. It's better to find a coupler and just do it right the first time IMO.

What about these stainless steel clutch lines that are for sale? Do they replace this dampener? Is it even present on '03s? Thanks.

The SS clutch line goes under the car where there is a piece of rubber line (like the brake line) wrapped in heat wrap. I'm assuming that was used instead of a solid line because of engine/tranny movement. SS line right there is one more thing to do on my list.
