I have also had an issue with my clutch sticking at about the halfway point when I tried to launch at higher RPMS. It was strange but as soon as I pushed it back down it came all the way back up so I didn't think to much about it. Clutch feels likes it engages to late for some reason. The clutch doesn’t seem to even attempt to engage until the clutch is 80% to 90% up.
It will also be interesting to see how these stock trany parts hold up to significant hp gains as they come out (SCs and turbo). Seems like forced induction will be out before any trany updates and with the current issues with the clutch I don’t think it would be very wise to add much HP without some kind of clutch and flywheel upgrade.
Tourinz, how did you adjust your clutch or did you have a tech do it?

there is a thread here that teches you how to do it. it's pretty simple, and I am really impressed in how my launching has improved. it feels like a new tranny. this is perfect.

Now that the 08 doesn't have this problem, Nissan will probably choose to deal with us on a case by case basis. Although a recall is the right thing to do for its past customers, there's no denying that "recall" = "bad press" for Nissan, and nobody at corporate wants that!!!
Perhaps someone on here with connections would like to call Edmunds or Consumer Reports and hint at the problem so the media can run tests and blow the whistle on this...

07 manuals are no better then the pre07s.. my transmission grinds 2nd easily when its cold.. I have to put pressure on the shifter before i shift into 2nd and slowly shift into 2nd to avoid grind.. and its not the "notchyness" this is CLEARLY a grind.. I tested this one time when I heard a grind i kept my clutch fully depressed and tried to engage 2nd and it grinded again.. so after that I just either start in 2nd when its cold or shift like a grandma that just took a bong toke.. but after the car is warmed up I just get the usual notchyness into second. but i'm at 8k miles now and no clutch issues.

Since you're saying it really only does it when it's cold, I think those two things will help you out. If not, take it straight in to the dealer... it will be covered under warranty.

I usually do that every morning because Evo's have generally notchy-*** trannys, and it helps a lot. Also, change to a different gear lube. I use (and recommend) Redline MT90.

Redline or Motul is a good transmission fluid to replace the Nissan stuff? What about Synchromesh, anyone have any experience? In my Prelude, 5th gear grinded like a champ, so I replaced the existing fluid with Synchromesh, and the grind completely disappeared. Good stuff!
