They covered it under warranty only because it was the o2 sensor on my header that was damaged. Upon installation of the HFCs, i only removed two o2 sensors. One from each cat. Apparently, as we were installing the cats, using an impact gun to loosen a bolt on the driver side flange, we damaged the o2 sensor on the header.

so removing all four censors prior to installation would be the best/safest way to avoid these type of situations?

with test pipes don't expect your CEL to go away. Replacing the 02 might solve the stuttering problem but your CEL will still be on.
Brief update of my HFC's
Just had the Crawford HFC's installed and, just like everyone else, removal of the stock cats (due to one bolt in particular) was extremely difficult. However, end result seems good with absolutely no CEL issues. Engine note is maybe just a little "deeper". I did not have a before and after dyno, so no idea about any power gains.
One other observation is about Crawford vs. Berk HFC's. There was a set of Berks in the shop waiting to be installed on someone else's 350Z, and compared to the Crawfords, the Berks just looked like a better "finished" product. For example, the Berks had a flange for the bolt, but the Crawfords just came with a clamp (looked kind of like an exhaust hanger) along with a warning not to over-tighten due to possible "crimping". By way of a disclaimer, let me say that I am no engineer, but if I had to make the choice over again, I would probably go with the Berks.

Bank 1 is passenger side. Looks like your sensor is bad. It's very easy to replace.. just make sure you have the right tool. I suggest a regular wrench (box ended on one end and open on the other)... 7/8" is the right size I believe.. 99% sure.
