Default ABS problem after installing VLSD into my base Z

I just installed an oem VLSD out of an 06' G35 MT into my 07 350z base. It was a direct fit and pretty straight forward swap. Only thing is that I removed the two sensors (speed sensors or ABS sensors?) attached to the VLSD and bolted on the two that were already on my car onto the VLSD. My ABS light intermittently comes on now. Sometimes it comes on after a minute, sometimes after slowing down from the highway. I also get the ABS jutter/vibration/clunk when braking sometimes. The sound seems to be coming from the front brakes and it can be felt through the pedal. Any thoughts?

You need to check and make sure the sensors are on the correct side. Then check the little teeth on the half shaft and make sure that non are missing. I just installed a nismo lsd and different pumpkin into my base and I dont have any problems. I also swapped the sensors from my stock diff on to the new one.

Thanks WalkerT. Found the problem. The passenger axle stub wasn't completely in. It was out only about 3 millimeters which caused the abs sensor not to align with the abs teeth on the axle stubs. A quick push back in and problem solved.

You just need to tap it in. It will only go so far. They are held in by snap rings.

Use a hammer and steel punch be real cafe not to hit other things under there

I was wondering if I have to remove the axle shaft from the hub or could I just hammer the hub to push back the axle. Is there anyway that we do to prevent this from happening. thank you

OP, are you using your base axle stubs? If so, then your abs will be constantly on because your axle stubs are never fully in the diff which throws off the speed sensors. You can disconnect your abs by disconnecting the speed sensor plug over the diff. If you need your abs, then get vlsd axle stubs.

** Dont drive around with the abs constantly going off, you will blow your abs. You either need to disconnect it or get the vlsd axle stubs.
