I am getting a JWT clutch combo tomorrow
ahhhhh, i bought the car to enjoy it and fulfill my need for speed
i will turbo it when greddy comes out with its kit. So, if you want longevity, do not do anything to the car. thats my philosophy.

The issue was present even without this mod, but was almost gauranteed with it. There was however, no record of long term engine degradation that would indicate a correlation (much less causality) between the mass dampener removal and the bottom end failure.
Theoretically, the crank is internally balanced, and the rods/pistons are balanced to each other to some extent, and the vibrations I feel are just the "less" dampened forces that were already present on the crank and main bearings (and caps). I'm too concerned with it, its something I've never seen a list of failures from to even suggest a correlation, much less a list of failures that would suggest a causality.

The warmer the tranny is the louder the gear chatter.
1k-2.5k rpm's under load it sounds like a dump truck (best way I can describe it). The chatter at idle in neutral is there, but I don't really mind that as much.
I still have the stock clutch line and delay valve, and the stock throwout bearing. Dunno if they put a new pilot bushing or not. They were rushing on the install, but everything looked perfect aside from the flywheel and clutch disc.

Also Anyone have any thoughts on weather or not a sprag clutch will help on the chatter?

Stock and JWT are both spring hub clutches.
The flywheel weight will reduce noise, but the light weight flywheel is desirable for other reasons.....like performance.

but I'm not sure if I'd rather have a little gain with a little chatter or a decent gain with an annoying amount of chatter... How bad is the chatter with the windows up or does that even make a difference?I know this may be stupid but are there any sound clips of the clutch chatter?

I know I'm justifying it - I hated it before when I'd ride in my friends 06 with the same combo, but the driving difference and the reality that I rarely hear it makes it ok for me.
All the Z's sound the same with what I'm talking about, so maybe you can find a clip from someone else. Also - you can't upgrade the clutch without the JWT flywheel for what its worth.

The track will tell me, but I *feel* a difference whether there is one or not.
