Berk HFC dyno
Wow..It's hard to believe that the car is putting 284hp to the rear wheels for a motor factory rated at 306hp with only the addition of high flow cats. This has got to be either a one and only out of the factory, or there's more here than meets the eye.
from previous dyno's at HPP, their dyno seems read just about right. stock VQDE's dyno'ing 230ish whp, modded VQDE's in the 250ish. if you look at Travis' trap speed at the track, its not hard to believe he is in the 280's now.

I think they are 300 cell but I also think they only have one out for the HR in the metalic. So what ever that is that is what I have. I will check tonight.

My car was used to prototype berks HFC's and i dyno'd 276 WHP at 80 degrees. If the weather conditions were much cooler or any other variables, while 284 is definately the highest i've seen, i'd say it's still possible.
HPP is the same dyno where I had my C6Z tuned and dyno'd (by Pat Sparks from Quality Motorsport). I also had my C6Z dynoed elsewhere around DFW and it actually put down more at other facilities, so HPP's dyno is definitely not a "ringer" set of drums.
Great dyno numbers and trap speeds. Were your passes out at Ennis? I'd love to see this car sometime and hear the exhaust! I'm over in lewisville.

I've trapped 107.xx over a dozen times and that was done all stock.

Every online HP calculator comes up with ~270-280bhp, and ~245-255whp for that trap speed. Both hp numbers are lower if using E/T. Also with other members trapping higher with less mods and "less power", there is even more reason to suspect these results. If true, that's great, but I have my doubts.
Are you kidding me? Does you online calculator take account for the street tires, tire spin, wind, altitude, and all of the variables that come with real racing? Ever been to the track? My highest trap was 106.2 and I was spinning the hell out of first and second.
Also 106.2 at Ennis is a feet because the track prep is less than perfect most of the time.
Anyway...

Here is a dyno day we had when I had my 05 Z at HPP the same dyno. You tell me if these numbers are high. All modded Z's and all run on the same day.

sorry, but how do gaskets influence the sound and rasp of the exhaust???
and which gaskets are we talking about here... the triangular ones between the headers and cat, the diamond shaped between the cat and y pipe or both???
thanks
