Clutch Pedal Click/Pop FIXED
I'm making another thread, to make sure people look to see what went on:
A.) NOTICE Mossy Nissan of El Cajon, CA rocks - for any of you in San Diego, I highly suggest this place. Check the Southern California forum.
B.) Late February - started having a click/pop sound coming from the clutch assembly when getting out of first on occasion. Started to progress to every time I was going from a complete stop.
C.) Mid./Late March - The sound started showing up between every shift, and began to be very aggrevating. Not to mention a slipping clutch feel, and having no torque from a complete stop.
D.) Took my car in late March for the slave cylinder replacement so that I didn't not have a clutch in the middle of driving away from home or work. Got it fixed. NO FIX FOR THE CLICK SOUND from this.
E.) Took the car back in to check the problem out, look through the clutch pedal assembly. The suggested replaced parts were the clutch pedal assembly AS WELL AS the master cylinder.
F.) Picked the car up today after lunch and the clutch is a lot smoother, and there is no clicking or popping sound. It also grabs a lot sooner when I start to lift off the pedal.
Any of you with this problem - I highly suggest you talk to the dealership abotu it and have them thoroughly inspect the clutch pedal assembly and the cylinders.

I have an 05 and lately it feels like the engagement point is a lot higher. There was also a clicking noise from the pedal a few days ago, but now it stopped. Maybe I should take a trip over to the dealership.

sounds similar to my scenario. never had popping sound till after slave cylinder was replaced, but sounds like i will be taking my car back to dealership to have it checked out again. popping/clicking sound is beginning to annoy me so i have no choice but to have it checked out....
Thought the clicking noise was normal
Happens every once in a while when I park my car in the garage, it clicks after I put it in neutral sometimes before I turn my key to the off position.

Also could you guys describe this poping clicking sound? i dont know but it could be the same thing i am having, when switching gears there is small clicking sound coming form the underneath the car, and when the car is stationary, when it is put in neutral and clutch is letgo, there is slight whining sound coming form underneath as well, is this normal or is this something you guys are talking about?
The whirring sound in neutral is normal. It's the flywheel. Happens on mine and my friend's G37.
I think the pop is a rough engagement between the gears and makes some kinda pop sound. I get that only in cold morning starts in first gear when releasing the clutch for the first time and I believe many ppl say that's normal.

I took mine to the dealer today and they said its normal. "The tranny is heavy duty and it will make alot of noise as time goes by but its normal". What do i do now because i dont like it that my new car sounds like an 80's car making all types of sounds.
hey guys (and girls
), first post here. so lets how it goes.
I also have this clicking noise. When I compress the clutch pedal and engage the gear everything is good, however when I start lifting the clutch about mid way there is a clicking noise.
Is this the same scenario you guys are going through?

I think we need to clear up on what the pop/click sound is as it seems like apparently, some of us are talking about two completely different things? The click/pop you hear when you release and step on the clutch is normal and happens in every Z. Now, what click/pop is NOT normal?
