I completely lost pressure at the track tonight. Went to launch at about 4k, and the pedal fell on the floor and I ran a really awesome 19 sec 1/4 mile. Anyways, I did probably a dozen runs tonight and it only did it once, but as soon as I was done with the run it was perfectly normal other than smelling like burnt clutch. Is there anything I can do with the dealership, or is there a different fluid or something I should try? It was a hot night and I did a lot of runs, but still it was perfectly fine before and after that run. Any suggestions at all? I did a little searching so far, but all I'm seeing is the initial recall issue.

go ahead and replace your clutch line with a stainless line. sounds like it heated up. i might be wrong but it can't hurt since the line only cost like 30 bucks

 

Yah, I'm sure it's obviously that it over heated after beating on it all night. I'm curious though if people have had this still happen often, even after the recall.

 

i dont think i have ever really heard to this happening....but good luck im interested to hear bout it also if it does happen

 

My guess is that you overheated it. Try high temp brake fluid like Motul 600.

 

after I got the recall done, I did 5-6 3k launches and my clutch felt soft afterwards.. Couple WOT runs too but ya, the clutch fix isn't guaranteed. Helps, but not perfect. Before I'd get a soft clutch just sitting in traffic though.
