Not trying to hi-jack this thread or anything or bash the idea of buying these intakes but I had a quick question.
I was looking at Injens webiste and it looks as though these intakes lean out the AF ratio to 12.84. Not that this is at all bad, but I remember reading that along with a reflash, intakes would cause some drivability/reliability problems.
If there was a choice, wouldn't a reflash with drop-ins give better results than Injens alone? Or if you wanted to relfash with Injens, wouldnt that cause too many issues?
I suppose there are benifits to both, including price/perfomance and reliability.

I didn't say 12.84 was lean. Its just more lean than what the car Injen was testing prior to the intakes. It went from low 11's to 12.8. So were the gains just related to a leaner AF ratio? And if so, that altered (from stock) AF ratio would be affected even more so with a reflash.
From what im aware of, the reflash works better with drop-ins and will give better gains than with most of the intakes out.
Maybe I have my mind made up already but the price of the reflash with drop-ins is only marginally more expensive than the Injen intakes alone. However the gains from the reflash/dropins are much higher.

A.H., your video clip just prompted me to order my own set of those intakes!
Thanks for your thorough impressions, I hope to also have before and after dyno numbers. Should have them by Friday. Results to follow.

Ordered them from Stillen. $510 shipped out. They said they would arrive Friday or Saturday. I ordered them through a local performance shop that my friend works at so they get better deals and shipping and such.
Edit: Ordered them in polished black.

If the black ones haven't arrived yet, I'll just rock the polished chrome ones. They still dress up the engine bay nicely. I will hopefully be providing before and after dynos when the intakes arrive.
