I don't think he's done any runs yet. Soon, I'm sure.

Yes I have a couple priorities first before I go to the track which is to get this Stillen Header completly analyzed and to get Cincity headlights. I'm really hoping for a 12.99 run and I think with my 295 PS2's along with valvebody upgrade I should have a better chance.

I hope you do..... I know I'd like to be in the high 12's when i'm done with my car. I think it's possible by making the car lighter, a good suspension and the right tires.

How would you get the best posible time suspension wise. I have KW variant 3 coils and what i would think is to put the rear on teh softest setting for the best launch. This accurate or am i totally out of the ballpark?

A.H., that is what we did back in the older days when we had TransAms. They sold Drag Shocks. You can adjust them where they allow the rear to sag down when in drag mode so it transfers all the weight to the rear. Worked really well.

I'm thinking that would be accurate, but you need to stiffen the front.

Unfortunately if you soften the rear to much you lose tire patch contact due to the camber when the rear squats won't you??

Since the Camaros and TA's had solid axles they didn't have this problem. So the Z would. Good thought.

you could raise the rear, kw's are height adjustable, the ad's say the highest they'll go is -.8 inch's over stock, so just set it at that height. and if u really wanna go hardcore, u can dial in some positive camber so that when u squat, it goes to 0 camber and u have the biggest contact patch available

sorry for my ignorance here but please help me understand.

im plan to first go bolt on with my HR after the warranty expires and so far I've read a total of approx $4500 has been invested to bring it to approx 318HP.

You're hoping to get in the upper 12's(12.99) which is approx 0.7 seconds faster than stock. Also, reducing weight should help it be quicker im assuming.

my question:

If i do the same upgrades on my Manual Transmission, can I expect a faster 1/4 time to the Auto Trans?

I understand the driver has to be good as well but I mean to ask in general terms, Auto vs Manual, can we expect one to perform better than the other?

Again like everyone says it is mainly up to the driver. Traction also plays a big role. I'm not sure but the manuel might have a slight advantage since it will gani more power than an auto with similiar mods but if the driver can't shift fast enough then.....Plus if the auto has a valvebody it shoudl be shifting jsut as fast as a good if not great m/t driver. Basically you can only truly find out by trying. Just go to the track and see as you gain more experiince and shift faster how your timse drop along with better 60 times.

Ok so I finally got the chance to go to Fast Intentions today to 1. ship out my dominator and 2. to see if i'm right about the revised headers. Before Tony put my car on the lift he first wanted to see if it was hitting. So he took it for a test drive and gave it some good abuse and nothing. I still wanted to check the header and sure enough it was hitting and there are straches on teh ehader from the sterling column smashign into it. However this only happens on tight turns in the canyons when the weight of the car transfers and teh engine torques. Even though the gains of these headers are awsome, this flaw is one I can not live it. It is actualyl dangeroius cause when your in a tight turn and your stering wheel gets locked because its stuck on teh header=death. But I do expect KYLE @ STILLEN to once again provide excellent customer service and fabricate a new design. I will call him on Monday and submit the photos he told me were necessary before fabrication would occur. Those who own these headers go on the canyons and see if this happens to you. And the way teh stering column is on our cars it will only hit on very hard RIGHT hand turns. Updates to come...

Exactly the point. I was in Topanga Canyon and pushign teh car before i hti the enxt fcar ahead of me and i took this very sharp turn hard but not at teh limit and the wheel jsut caught stopped turning in the middle of teh corner. I had to muscle it to fully turn midway and i was lucky the turn was sharp so i was goign slower and tehre was no tracfffic in the oncoming lane. Hopefully i can finally get this resolved because no way am i going to go in the canyons till this is fixed.
