NRG carbon fiber engine cover installed
Well it finally came in. It was an impulse buy... when i first saw it, it looked amazing and i coudlnt resist. If any of you have seen my Z, you'll know that im a pretty big CF addict.
Fitment isnt bad, but the top left portion of the lower half is raised a bit. Im gonna put a little weight on it overnight and see if it could flex it to sit lower. (see the second pic) But the weave is fantastic. The clear coat is flawless as well.
This is a full replacement, not overlay.

imho looks out of place. all that high gloss shiny area, then u have the regular intake tubes, and all the matte oem plastics and plain radiator hose (with white residue)...
basically what i'm saying is just one shiny show piece in the middle of an oem engine compartment doesn't fit in, but the rest of the stuff polished up also...
but thats just me, different strokes for different folks

that's alot of carbon in one spot. it kinda takes away from the accent on the oem. i guess it would just look a bit better if there wasn't soo much black plastic consuming the whole engine bay, unless you were going for a stealth look.
