Default 2nd time at the track with my 07

hey last night i went to raceway park for the second time with my 2007 5AT enthusiast roadster.. the first time i took the car i couldent get the car out of the 13.7 range because it would not hook harder then a 2.15 60 foot.. well last time i got the car to hook a lil better and here are the results.. keep in mind my car is STOCK besides the removal of the air filter panels and the axleback exhaust...

the car... sorry i dont have any more recent pics only other mods are 5% tint.. s2k antenna and bumper tuck..

.425rt
2.001 60'
5.690 330'
8.705 1/8th
81.56 mph at 1/8th
11.305 1000'
13.491 1/4
102.32 mph at 1/4

i personally think these times are impressive for a more or less bone stock auto roadster... can anybody suggest me anything that will make get me into the 12's for not too much money?? i am eventually going to buy the zex kit when i find the appropriate tuning software. thanks for any advice!

Damn that's impressive for autos especially roadster. I think it'll be hard to get into the 12's though even with full bolt-ons. Check out A.H's full bolt-on dyno, he got over 300 whp it's crazy.

awsome numbers! My goal would be to get into the 12s, that would be so sick. And for a heavier Z with an auto these numbers are impresssive. As boba said, check out some of my threads and decide what NA mods you think are the best bang for your buck. With full bolt one I think you stand a pretty good chance for 12s, and it'll be cake with the zex kit. Good luck

This should end all of the "Is MT better than AT?" threads...

...but we know it won't

I forgot to say “impressive driving.” You did real good on the 60 foot time. And its obvious that you had a good first to second gear shift without losing any momentum.

i dont think most people debate "what is better" per say. more like MT is more fun than AT.

Nice! We have only 1/8 mi. locally, and the best I mustered stock was 8.78 in my 07 touring 5AT. Lightweight 15" wheels with drag radials or slicks and 4.08 gears IMO would get you high twelves, but a zex kit would be cheaper. Valve body upgrade would be a good addition too, again, not too cheap though. I need to run mine again

Excellent 60' time. I recommend Nitrous if you want to get into 12's.

Why do they make tracks for 1/8 mile? I suppose I could do a google, but Ide rather read people's explanations, just seems dumb, I know you need room but cmon if your building a track do it the right way.

I was there at the track 9/3 Wed.. I have the Blue G35. I was wondering how you did on that day coz none of my friends saw your time, I guess your best was 13.7? Pretty good time coz the 135i couldn't break 13's and only trapping 100mph... Chipped 335i was only doing 13.2@106mph.. I did 13.5@106mph but it was my first time so my shifting and launch need improvement. That was also with my heave 19's (Work VSXX).
