Default question about stillen headers

hey i have a question about the stillen headers.. my first mod is gonna be a full exhaust including headers and i am just wondering if they are easier to install then they were on the DE motor.. because i dont wanna have to go through that again myself haha so i am wondering if this is something i would be able to tackle myself of is it worth it to pay a shop?? thanks!

No *****..... Im trying to help others from spending on bs.... If i could do it again I wouldnt buy 1.5k headers+500 install=fail.. But nevermind.. Do it!!

To install the headers you have to drop the engine, also there is a thread on here about the stillen headers losing top whp.. It made gains through the band though..

A.H. got his headers for 800 and i believe got them installed and dyno for 400? thats at least 200 lest then how much you paid for just your headers.......btw he gained 9trq and 5whp and good gains all through the band

btw i could be mistaken but i heard crawford headers were the only headers that needed to have the motor pulled in order for install

Nevermind.. Buy the stillen.. Install is easy as fack!! You can DIY just takes time...

So headers 600+400 install (at some shops)+400 dynotune= 0 whp top end.. 5whp 9trq.. all for 1500.. Sounds like a good investment..

I would just use that toward FI but thats just me.. The end

besides the fact crawfords are for '03-'06 z's, the engine doesn't have to be pulled completely out.

stillen headers=$600=5whp and 9 trq

my bassani xhaust=$900=7whp and 7rq

you dont necessarily have to FI with the HR motors to be fast.....12's are definetly attainable with full bolt ons...but i know what you mean some people just wanna be stupid fast but i cant consider that at the moment because of finances.....same with other people on this site

so whats the deal with this though?... aside from the actual power numbers how hard is the uninstall of the old headers and the install of the stillen's on a hr?
