burnt my clutch bad
ok so before i get flamed for what i did i just wantted to explain what happened and would like to know the outcome of my mistake.....at the track i was probably ran about 7 times....very few people at the track so i was running frequently...i had MT ET streets so i had to warm up my tires......well my last run i decided to warm them up and a little bit more and launch a little higher.....i did multiple burntouts to get them warm...and i launched my car at 5k with a little slip( was having success at 4500 K launches).....the car went but then soon the clutched stuck to the ground and before i knew it was full throttle revving my car 5500-6000 burning the clutch for a good few seconds....i drove home fine the pressure in the clutch is fine it is grabbing normal....so my question is what should i expect from my mistake? advice is more needed than opinions thanks in advanced
i would not worry about it right now, im sure you burnt it good but probably a lot of life left it in. since the 07's have a problem with the pedal stick to the floor. i would contact the deal about replacement of the slave cylinder
i already replaced it......it happened once before where i had the brake light fuse out and i was trying to do a break stand lol
Post the time-slips?
The pedal getting stuck to the floor also happened to me the last time I went to the track (which was back in December). I got it replaced but never got a chance to go back to the track to see if the new slave cylinder did anything.

The same thing happened to my '04, and I had it pegged for atleast 5 seconds or so and I didn't realize what was happening. It was the stock clutch and it had 26K miles and still grabbed fairly well, so it should be fine.
When you say you did multiple burnouts, do you mean stopped and started multiple times or just multiple revolutions? A couple of revolutions to get the water and debris off is plenty to warm up ETs. If you're having to do John Force burnouts just to get traction w/274 hp, then you need to work on tire pressure.
