I'm sure it's possible that the car could've glitched and had airbags deploy, but then again not probable, and I've not heard of this issue with any other Zs. More than likely **** happened so fast, next thing he knew the airbags deployed.
Yes, it's not probable but probably not impossible.

If the details he gave are true, then it's a scenario that would probably fit with why he doesn't remember much.
1. Airbag goes off - he can't see anything and probably just got whacked in the face with it.
2. Because he can't see anything and got disoriented temporarily the car hit the parked car at about 10-15mph.

I'm not so sure about the extend of the damage to his car. Perhaps someone with more experience in terms of accident investigation could shed some light on that.

Since we're posting pics of our wrecked HR's
Heres my first 08

Consider yourself very lucky, not all accidents you can walk away from, looking at the car you wouldnt think anyone could have walked away from it, but other than being disoriented I walked away. Good luck and hope everything works out for you bro

Heres the orginal thread:
https://my350z.com/forum/mid-atlanti...un-2008-a.html
Cliff Notes

-After graduating and working a 40 hour job for months, kid (me) finally can afford to make payments on his first car, a Z

-Kid joins My350z since his friend with a Z is also on

- Kids gets invited to go on a run with some guys from the board

- Kids plays it coola and safe and is at the back of the pack going under 50 in his 3 day old brand new Z, with only one car behind him another guy with a new HR taking it easy also

- Everyone else is way ahead and notices that the two arent in sight anymore

- Group turns back to see PPW Z gnarled in the trees, with the DB on the side of the road

- PPW driver is dazed and doesnt know whats going on

- DB driver explains that PPW was ran off the road by a speeding accord traveling in both lanes on a narrow 2 lane road around a blind curve to compensate for the apex and PPW avoids a headon collision but couldnt avoid running off the narrow embankment and fliping a couple of times into the trees

- Accord almost runs DB off road too, but missed, Accord speeds away, DB stops to help PPW

READ THE STORY BEFORE YOU GUYS GO OFF WITH THE YOUNG KID IN FAST CAR BS

THANK YOU

I cant remember what happened and you guys dont seem to believe me. I went back to the spot i crashed a couple days ago and went 25 mph on that turn and with more cars parked i went out perfectly without any problems. so i have no idea how i crashed. i was going around 20-25 mph so speeding cant be it since i did the same turn again and came out of it without any sliding or anything.

The insurance company said the cars totaled so my Z is gone. He said theirs around 23k of damage.

Yes I am 20. I have been working for more than 40 hours a week and going to college full time. I worked my a$$ off for this car. trust me this really hurt cause I did alot for it. I work with Fidelity on projects that are around the LA area. (there HQ is in Florida)
Im not too sure about the 370Z yet. I need a car with back seats. But Ima wait till Nov 19th to go to the LA Auto Show to see the 370Z and then make my decision.

ATTN:
Anyone who is having their 07-up car totaled please contact me ASAP. I need a connector off the car and I'm sure the insurance company won't notice it missing.

1. http://www.skipbarber.com/
2. I improve my driving skills at the track.
3. I understand the physics and mechanics of how a car works.

Sorry for getting off topic, I just hate ****** like this guy.
said so intently by the little boy with the fast and the furious quote as his sig...

but but but, I went to skip barber so that makes up for my complete lack of driving experience of only 3 years (if you got your license when you were 16) Please dude, don't talk shit when you don't know who you are talking to, or what I've driven and where. I don't need to explain myself to a whiny *** bitch that thinks he can drive because skip taught him how to in a couple hours.

and LOL at understanding physics and mechanics of how a car works. did you just graduate from "advanced" high school auto shop oh tech guru? please!

stick to being an e-mechanic, and thinking you can drive cause you've gone to a couple local autoX events.

no you cant, and no you didnt. your lack of driving experience and SKILL caused you to crash into a parked car. stop defending yourself and admit it.

Every teen on here can handle a 350z, and they are the best god damn driver ever to hit the road, just ask them, it's just these roads can't handle a 350z with a teen driver. It's the roads fault.

Who else is tired of the same old bull $hit every dumb kid who wrecks a Z says?
