i dont think thats the hatch rattling . . . its the suspension . . what suspension are you running . . ? ? ? the sound appears to come from the hatch . . but its not . . try driving on small bumps slowly . . . . . is it similar to this ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZIIaYBKUD0

07 Touring with 44,000 miles.
CAT failure - replaced both CATs
Interior scratches easily, especially on door pull.
Paint easy to chip. Front bumper peppered with chips
Still love driving it.

Do any of you guys have this problem? My hatch squeaks around like crazy. It's quite annoying. It's not a plastic panel or anything but the actual hatch or the rubber sealing or something. It just squeaks around whenever I go over bumps, etc. The guy at Nissan said I should lube up the rubber, but I'm skeptical and don't know exactly what to "lube it up" with..

Hmm hard to say but I wanna say yes? What causes/caused that? I'm running OEM shocks with Eibach Sportline springs.
BTW it doesn't sound like anything in that video..
I'm pretty sure it's definitely my hatch. I'm going to try to get to the bottom of it eventually and I'll let you guys know..

well if the cluck- rattle goes up and down with outside temperature, you MAY have this issue
https://my350z.com/forum/maintenance...g-in-rear.html
and they havent fully found the issue yet . . if its just a hatch issue then there a good chance that itll get fixed . . (most of those are easy fixes)

I've had my base 08 since Nov 2008, and currently have 54666 on the odometer. Only problem thus far was replacing window motors that were starting to have problems at around the 36K mark. Window motors were replaced under warranty at the time.
