Default Stillen released the 3rd gen Intakes for the 370z but not ours!!

WTF is wrong with Stillen?! Why on earth would they do the 370z first and just forget about the HR folks with the 350z? They even did the G35/G37 models.

why not just get the injen intakes? they're pretty much the same thing and quite a few members have seen really good gains with them (12-15 whp gain iirc)

Probably because the HR35 is sort of a lame duck motor (ie.. limited run/limited year offering). But wouldn't fitment essentially be the same?

Huh?

Probably because its a brand new car and the current model. You can get used to seeing less and less products coming out for the 350z and it makes perfect sense.

"Out with the old, in with the new."

https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...ntake-kit.html

Edit: It also looks like it wont clear the 350z front bumper. Seems that they specifically state "G35 Sedan" which has the same exterior dimensions as the G37 Sedan.

Maybe between the 370z and the 350z. Just a guess, but the G35/G37 doesn't fit the Z correctly.

See they made the G35 HR one, but skipped the 350Z all together. Laugh.

I agree with most of what you are saying but not all of it.

The way I see it is... The HR guys are willing to drop the dough just as much as those that bought the 370Z. I am in the market for things that fit my HR but keep hiccuping cause things I want/need are not available for my car or I have very little choices.

I would have gone for a 370Z but it is in its first stages and would rather wait. The money is there for both the 350Z HR and the 370Z guys/gals that want to mod. They need to get on it....

Stillen knows both are willing, the differnece is the quantity of the people that are willing. Fact is, the R&D they put into the 370z they will make more money because there are going to be much more 370z owners eventually compared to 350z HR owners.

True, I just hope Nissan changes something in the engine bay of the 370Z so stillen has to redesign. Im just pissed... Im glad I have Injen, but would be nice to see more stuff for the 350Z HR's.

I know you want more options but from an intake POV we really aren't in too bad of shape. The Stillen design is practically identical and I would guess would make maybe 1-2 more hp then the injen just because teh piping diameter woulnd't shrink as it bent in front of the front bumper. And I would assume stillen would charge more for thier product because they are Stillen lol. Other areas of performance I agree that we need more options but we don't really have any control to be honest.

You have major issues you need to get over about the 370Z. Stop going to that forum if you hate the car so much. You only post negative stuff about it.

Buy another fuggin intake and move on. Stillen is not the best by far anyway. ARC would be much nicer.

As stated by someone before me, you are in the minority.

I haven't posted anything negative towards the car? So I have no clue what you are talking about? I am also a sponsor for that site. ARC doesn't make squat for the HR.

My two cents...

In the interest of preserving factory intake NVH (Noise, vibration and harshness - intake roar noise is good, BTW), I prefer the injen intake. I prefer the clean look of the one-piece intake tubes and I like the rubber hose section that passes throug the radiator core support. At first I wanted Stillens on my HR, but when I saw the injens installed, it occurred to me that I would not want the metal pipes of the Stillens hitting the core support as the engine torques back and forth.

HR two year run. DE non-rev two year run. I'm guessing if the HR is in the minority it's because Nissan only sold a hand full compared to previous generation engine.

Either way you slice it I'd soon have my HR in a 350z then a 370z. But I'm weird.

consider that if you follow AH mods you can gain about 40whp... to me sounds good for just bolt on.
there isn't a lot of choices around, but at least some good stuff.

Solo my bad I thought you were the guy complaining about the 370z forum saying that the 370z is faster than 350z. The guy that made that thread has made several bashing the car and it was just getting old. Your screen name is similar to his. Misunderstanding man,

Quick Reply: Stillen released the 3rd gen Intakes for the 370z but not ours!!
