Unhappy bad news for HR owners

This can not be good for us HR owners. ATS has just released a clutch system that replaces the concentric slave cylinder style clutch on the HR with the old cantelever on the DE, its all one kit. THe add says that ATS just gave up trying to get the CSC style clutch to hold any increased horsepower. The claim its an easy conversion (I am skeptical). This really upsets me I just dumped five grand into my 07 and now I feel like when I am ready to build a motor, I will have to get into some complicated conversion that cost 3500 hundred dollars to insure my POS clutch will hold up. Can't someone just design a better CSC. I have already had mine replaced mine twice and it still stuck to the floor a few months later, under pretty tame conditions. Some one please re-assure me, I am just sick of this dam clutch issue. I know some of you wil say that clutch is for very high horsepower, yes I agree it's probably for big builds, but still.

Its $2200 for the clutch and conversion (based on HPF's pricing). I looked at it as my slave just failed, but frankly I don't think its going to be a huge issue.

While the slave does suck, its also used in the 370z, so anyone who develops something for the 370 will also benefit us, further, I have a JWT clutch and think my failed slave was a part defect.

I tried getting them to sell me the conversion separate and they said no.

I know how you guys feel, my slave cylinder had to be replaced twice... pretty lame. Anyone know if an 06 tranny will bolt up to our HR's?

2200 is not that bad considering that some good clutchs are 1500-1700. Is the ATS a single or multi style clutch?

I saw the add you got the info from and I'm glad someone came up with a fix for our problem. Hopefully though someone else will come up with a cheaper solution that addresses our POS clutch issue. You have to remember its almost as if we are bastard children when it comes to the aftermarket game and people are gonna take there time coming up with stuff for us.

blah blah blah....

if that 3k includes a double or a triple clutch that holds 600+++ whp - it's not that bad of a price.

now i think the little slave cylinder of ours does suck, but it should be fine @ about 400 or so on a single .

so stop this panic !!!

2200 for a double, 2600 for a triple if I remember correctly.

I followed the video, almost tried making the conversion myself, but decided that $76 for the stock part wasn't that bad.
