Do you have supporting mods that would make your idea a smart one? Or..... You should've read your post outloud back to urself before posting, then erased it.

Go up to 7500rpm in 2nd gear. Then slam it back into 1st gear as fast as you can. Once you get past the pesky 2-1 shift notchiness, the rpms should have dropped a bit. When you do get it into 1st gear, it should be right around 8500rpm. Remember, you may only be able to do this ONE time, try at your own discretion.

*8000 is good also i just dont like the short gear at 7800 its not 7500 when i go i hit 7800 its almsot at 8000 when i drag. even the handbook says redlines at 7800

im likin your thinking. or you could just try calling osiris or technosquare. they might have an ecu w/ an unlocked limiter if you have the computer to play around with that stuff.
