the rev limiter is set to 7500 btw, And you'll need to reflash the ECU to raise it. You also dont want to go all the way to 8500, or your engine may not last long.

Go up to 7500rpm in 2nd gear. Then slam it back into 1st gear as fast as you can. Once you get past the pesky 2-1 shift notchiness, the rpms should have dropped a bit. When you do get it into 1st gear, it should be right around 8500rpm. Remember, you may only be able to do this ONE time, try at your own discretion.
This is so yesterday.....you need stickers, lots of stickers. Or just pour NOS straight into your tank, I've heard that works pretty well.... Maximum speed FTW!!!
at 7500 rpm the vq35 is hitting some fairly impressive piston speeds. 8500....not gonna last long. the only reason it might be worthwhile to raise to 8000 would be maybe on the 1/4....you probably, maybe won't have to shift right before hitting the trap. or road courses, hold onto that gear just a tad longer before going into a braking zone....
i think technosquare can reflash and set the HR to 8000. mail the ecu in, get in back in less than a week.
