I'd say, do lots of reading. I've posted my technique a few times, Veetec has posted his, and ranger (corvette guy) has a site dedicated to it. In one day advising a friend I got him from a 13.8 to a 13.3...took like 3 runs knowing what to do and he had the launch down.

in order to use that high rpms, you will need to raise your compression and internals and intake manifold, other than that, there is no power in that rpm range.
as i read this i cant help but think... i used to run these tracks in high school from here to the train tracks is a quarter mile.. on green im goin... fu&*&*n newbs.. i been shiftn at 8000 an i feel like straight s*** moved up the rev limit with the cobb... and why would you want to do that to such a perfectly built engine... go to rice if you wanna shift at 9000
I thought I was crazy for wanting to take my built DE to 7500. Wonder if the OP went through with it? Or better yet if it still runs... NOS and raised rev limiter on a stock bottom end.
