Default Aftermarket radiator for the HR...

Looking for an aftermarket radiator for the HR but I can't seem to find one. I read somewhere Mishimoto has something in development, but I can't find anything about it on their site.

These (radiators) look like the standard 04-06 parts. My understanding is the fan shrouds are different and they will not bolt on.

Funny name.. HRautoparts, might want to change it to DEautoparts. The 350z on the front page isn't a HR. LOL

I've had an 03-06 Koyo R-core on my HR for over a year, had to modify EVERYTHING in the area to make it fit and not hit the pulleys, including much of the radiator. If you don't need the extra cooling capacity, don't bother.

A couple people have been reporting high oil temps during track days and such. Something to prepare for I suppose.

Right, and a radiator cools the engine coolant, an oil cooler I am all for, I just don't follow the need for a larger radiator aside from INTENSE wheel to wheel racing, or really high power forced induction....unless I've missed some huge issue with the Z.

well... if you want the most of your engine power you need to stay around 185/195 F.
I don't know when the ecu will start pulling back timing to avoid detonation for higher heat... but I pretty sure even in a regular HPDE you'll start losing a good amount of power in the second half of the session.

maybe not with a 65/70F of ambient temperature... but cooling could be one of the most effective performance AND reliability mod to do to a stock engine.

I was reading more than 220F coolant temperature in a 20 min hpde session with 95F air temp.

I'm interested in this too... mostly because I just need a new radiator (stock one is borked) and the stock one is almost double the Mishimoto's price for the DE motor. The extra cooling is just a pleasant side effect. Plus, out here in the desert, it gets up towards the 100s quasi regularly. I wonder if Z1 Performance ever found out anything...

Bump- I don't want this thread to disappear before we find out if Koyo or GReddy will actually step up.
