Lets put it this way-
The stock intakes are efficient.
The Injens are even more efficient at higher rpms.

I am fortunate to have the extra cash and a kick-*** shop so I always have get a dyno before and after each mod... Injens are good for 10 HP at the top and don't loose anywhere else. Plus they look and sound awesome. My dual wintakes

This is with no tune - next on the mod list

Injens are completely useless with the top gain. I doubt anyone shifts at redline every day, and even if they do, they wouldn't feel a +10 whp in a mere 1K rpm range.

So whats the point in modding a car at all with your logic? I dont go to the track every day, so why do i need a catback, tune, or HFC's too?

Just FYI, Stillen Gen 3 intakes are just as good if not better than the Injens. I gained 30WHP between the Stillen headers and Gen 3 intakes.
See page 3 of my thread on this for details.

But it does more than a Nismo steering wheel...

To each their own...

Hey - I didn't say it was the best bang for the buck. I got it installed over a year ago. Someon's gotta be the guinae pig. And you said 'max power' not me. I know it's all relative and only on same dyno, same day - blah blah blah....

I was more impressed by the HFC gains.

If these CAI's had lost power like some of the short-rams, I would have removed and sold them.

I think it's worth knowing where the OEM intakes become a bottleneck - for the sake of other HR owners.

It's all in the dyno graphs above. Chech out the area under the curve for the torque (3-6k RPMs).The blue line is the car with Bassani exhaust. The next line is the HFC's.

Re-read what I said. I mentioned top gain. Yes you wouldn't feel a difference either with a catback, but you add it for sound. For the price of Injen, you can already get some cheaper exhausts. Add $100~$200 and you can have a nice sounding Greddy Ti-C single. I believe many people would prefer to spend money on an exhaust than a CAI that you can barely hear the sound of.

* I am a proud owner of a Injen polished dual CAI.

hiz-n-herz,

When are you going in for a tune? I wonder if we can talk Rob and the guys to do a discount if we can get like a group tune going on.

Ah HA! Thanks I don't know why I asked that, i already had looked at your graph I'm starting to think the tuner here doesn't have enough Orisir tuning time under his belt yet. My gains are poor compaired to everybody else I've seen so far.

^I would have to disagree with you on that one. We all had significant gains from 285+whp using the same tuner....Your car had a lot of problems the tuner needed to address before giving you "more power". You should call Sean for more clarification before making any false accusations about his tuning abilities.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Fujita Intakes?

I recently aquired a set at a pretty good price and was wondering if anyone has seen or heard of any significant gains or losses... Perhaps it's the same shat as the stock ones but with a little bit of noise added to them...?

If anyone has any experience with them... i'd like to have some insight...!

Thanks!
