i remember seeing posted up on the forum on installing the injen intake/or it was stillen gen 3 intakes. either way i cant find the video :/. I youtube it and searched in the DIY section with no luck :/
i was watching theses girls install the injen long tube intake on a G sedan and noticed that it had no strut bar( i know the infinite line coup and sedan didnt have one). It got me thinking on is there anything i need to look out for when taking off the Z strut bar?? I know it has the lug that you screw but im not sure how much and just want some pointers on how to go about it.
if i had missed the post in the DIY section them im really sorry

well the thing is im debating about installing the intakes myself. Im just trying to get as much info as i can before i take on the challenge
. I did some more searching after i made this post and i found out MD recommends 1 tune on the( what i now know the right name) hex nuts, nissan says 1.7 of a turn. So far is seems like it will be easy but just a tad time consuming. I just want to make sure when i put the strut bar back on that i have it the way it came from t he factory.

I suggest removing the front bumper which is super easy. Remove the under panel and then there's two screws in each wheel well. Just get a flat head and push back the plastic panel, the screws are pointing towards the front of the car and could be access by turning the wheel to the opposite side of where you're working from. Then there's about 6 clips on the top and just pull off the bumper, you might have to push up and back on the top corners.
If you wanna cut corners then don't remove the under tray, instead remove the front 6-8 hex screws and that should free the bumper.
I did not remove the strut bar and it didn't make anything harder, but do remove the engine cover.
When putting back the bumper, push all the panels into place, even the bottom ones.. might seem like common sense but it pissed me off the first time cuz the bumper wasn't going back in flush until I found out what I was doing wrong.
