Default Tuning

Would a tuning really help with the HR motor when you got just the CAI and the exhaust?

Coming from the DE world (with full NA bolted-ons), I know tuning helped a bit, but doesn't justified the 1K+ I spent on the new UTEC + Tune.

I was just wondering if it really help for the VQ35HR motors?

If you experience jerking/hesitation when on the freeway when you down shift to pass, you need a tune.

I would at least get test pipes or HFC's. What kind of exhaust do you have?

The exhaust is Greddy EVOTT. I think I'mma hold out for a set of TP or Longtube headers (if they fit) then tune it afterward. I'm not looking for anything fancy as of now, just some where close to the proximity of 300whp

wait for the art pipes like kram... and myself haha.

Honestly, I got tuned with HFC/exhaust.. not gonna do intakes. gained 9whp and about 12 torgue... dyno tuning and flash from uprev was 750ish canadian.

If you could get it for 500, seems like a pretty decent deal... but definitely hold on until you get the hfc/tp if you're planning to.

lol just saw your old picture of the old gts's. if you got a z now. i promise althought it does not have a back set. the platform is so much higher than the de. now that they are making supercharger for the hr. it will get a whole lot better.

I really miss them. Do you know who has them now?

I was shopping for some wheels the other day to put back on the G35 (which I still have) and the GT-S looked best. But then I'd need a red BBK for it too (which I highly doubt that I'd get one, lol).

It can be said with absolute certainty if you have cold air intake and HFC/TP, definitely tune... good results tac, can't wait to get test pipes on mine, how was the torque band?
