Drivetrain Upgrade
So I'm working out on the plan for my 07 drive train upgrade:
So far, things on my list are:
1. LSD - Quaife
2. Gear - 4.08
3. BBK
4. Clutch - OS Giken Twin plate - DD/Occasional track
The reason I'm thinking about upgrading the clutch is that it's making rattling/chatter noise at idle when I let off the clutch so I'm thinking it's because of the throw out bearing and might want to upgrade it while I'm at it. It's as loud as when my friend has his Competition Stage 2 setup in his G35. Is it a normal issue or related to the common issue that everyone's having with 07 model?
After all, the car will be mostly driven with occasional track. Which one do u suggest I do first? I'm thinking in the order listed above.
Thanks,
Kev

every z has that clutch rattle thing. its normal, not even just an 07 issue.
first 3 sound good, i'd keep the stock clutch till it goes out, no need to waste money when you don't need to...
since you're actaully gonna be tracking your car, when picking out a BBK, make sure you look at replacement parts cost and pad selection. that rotors, pads, hardware that fastens the rotor to the hat (it doesn't last forever).
some of the cheaper kits out there have rediculous replacement parts cost making something that costs a bit more upfront a much better deal down the road.

Cool, I was a lil worry about the clutch on my Z since it's a tad louder than my friend's.
Yea, I'm pretty familiar with BBK. Have a set on my G

I guess that solve my question. Saving up for Quaife and 4.08 gear
