Default 07-08 wheel bearing/ hub

i think this would be approprate place for 07-08 z owner. tonight i installed drilled and slotted rotors all around and new pads and i noticed my rear wheel wiggled lug nuts not lossed yet my friend cheacked the wheel hub and the bearing is smoked this car just hit 20k 2 days ago so cheak your wheel bearing's. sorry about the bad spelling it was a long day did 5 other brake jobs and my car was last on the list and we couldent use are tools case it was so late

I had a rear hub bearing go in the first 5k miles on my 2008 NISMO. I took the mechanic on the interstate at 90mph, yanked the wheel just a little and the *** end almost stepped out. The mechanic said "Holy ****, that should not happen. Please slow down". lol

This was before it hit the track so abuse doesn't have much to do with it.

You could check to see if the hub nut is tight. That's the nut with the lock pin through it you see as soon as you take the wheel off. The center cap of the wheel covers the uglyness of this nut.

That didn't work for mine. Take it in before you wreck the car and hurt yourself and whatever passenger may be in the car when it happens.

My LR bearing went bad at 12k the axle nut was loose but by the time I noticed it was already to late. They had to replace the bearing and hub. All under warranty of course.

I had the same issue as gamermodz and nismoz. I have a 07 redline nismo and @ 7000 miles the left rear wheel bearing and hub were smoked. I work at a ford dealership and was putting my exhaust and when i put my car in the air my wheel was almost falling off lol.

...... so I just clicked in this thread (just bc I was bored) and I have been thinking the road was un-even or something..... I'm going to check my bearings out tomorrow. The only thing is my car is lowered 1", and has an spc camber kit with the toe bolt. will they still cover mine if it is the bearing.

Interesting thread! Today leaving work and merging on the highway I went wide open throttle through 1st and 2nd and the car felt like the rear end was just wondering to the right while under load but it doesnt do it under normal driving? I have 11k on the car and im thinking my wheel bearings are now bad.
