Just my biased opinion, since we're running that setup on our shop car right now and get compliments all the time on how nice and meaty it sounds.
I would say Berk or Turbo-XS test pipes as well but that is gonna be a problem in CA. You can get Stillen HFC and there is a good power gain there. They are still not street legal but at least you will pass the test.

I would not waste money on headers for a few HP. After you go with the right exhaust, you already have a nice intake. All you will need is a tune up to get max gains. I have Cobb and I am pretty happy with the results. I have Gen 3 Intake instead of 2 but you will still be getting nice gains if you tune it up.

I thought the Stillen HFCs fail the smog test :x

x2

The tune will help regarding power and mileage.

Are you going to track the car?

Just as a tidbit of information: Stillen headers with their HFC's do hang lower then stock so be aware of that. (mostly on the passenger side).

The Crawford HFC body's are the same as stock and do not hang lower then stock with the headers. My Car is slammed with no rubbing issues. I wouldn't buy anything but Crawfords IMHO! I've never seen a post with issues with them.

I will not be tracking the car

I also heard Crawfords were really nice also.

So performance wise and sound wise, ART pipes? Berk TPs? Berk HFCs? Stillen HFCs? Crawford HFCs?

For best sound AND performance, I would lean towards the ART pipes.

Read my sig line... I am ECSTATIC with the sound and performance of my setup. I also strongly considered Fast Intentions, but went with the Bassani for cost reasons, and I couldn't be happier. I've heard my Bassani and a friends Fast Intentions... very similar in overall tone.

Nismo S-Tune is a very underrated exhaust. Not the best in terms of power but the sound is excellent. It is like the stock note but with a deeper tone and it REALLY growls after 3k RPM. It's quiet in idle but gets very loud after 2nd gear+. It is a little higher pitch in 5th gear but I love the variety of sounds it gives and it has decent power + good sound. It's also quite affordable and if you get pulled over you cannot get in trouble! (I've been pulled because the police thought my exhaust was illegal )

Best of luck to you

hmm interesting lol some people have said that they got pulled over for a nismo exhaust and they got ticketed. they went to the dealership to get some kind of note saying that its a factory exhaust but they were still fined o_o but yeah, i agree that the s-tune is an underrated exhaust. seems slightly at the pricey side for me brand new anyway, retailed at like $1300~ ? which is less than a months work for me but still :x

So I am about to buy the nismo s-tune exhaust without y-pipe from raesunshine9 on marketplace.. i was really thinking about whether i should buy the motordyne xyz pipe in place of the missing y-pipe or just spend a little less money and get stillens y-pipe. anyone have any info of how it might work out with the stillen y-pipe and xyz pipe? http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...E01&c=PE&m=all
