Default help with check engine light codes

hey guys, today my check engine light came on the codes i'm getting are
P0158, P02a03, and another that i didn;t write down. what do these mean?.
i used to get only one after i got my HFC but after i stuffed the sensor with brillo the check engine light went away. thats been like 4k miles ago. last week i got the magnaflow H pipe welded to my borla exhaust, otherwise my setup its the same.
any ideas about whats going on?/

the P2A03 should be the front O2 sensor (driver side) that went bad.... if you're lucky and you have an early 07 car the sensor is "only" 150$ or so... if it's an '08.... well... it's anywere between 311$ (rockauto) to 420 at the dealership
and the P0158 is the rear oxygen sensor...

getting both of them could be a good news... might be a leak and not the sensors... (cheaper to fix)

thanks

if i drive for long with this problem can the engine or something else be affected?

I'm just wondering why this is happening right after i installed the H pipe. we where not near sensor 1.

the other thing i did was clean my intake filters- could this have naything to do with this????

i'm wondering if the problem is not the sensor but something else that causing this sensor to malfunction??

if it's a bad sensor, no. not gonna hurt by driving for a long time. leak... might wanna get that fixed. other than that, you should be fine.

Btw, I replaced an o2 sensor for about $80 from Amazon, but I have a revup, so might be a little different from your HR. Was a Bosch sensor in case you were wondering. Not a universal, but a good plug & play one.

i would restuff your sensors. how did you stuff them. i need to do another write up on doing this to make sure it is getting done right. but you need to pack it in there hard till you can barely blow thru it. then lightly pack it so when the o2 sensor goes it it pushes down a little bit. after doing that leave your car on jackstands and start it. climb underneath and check for leaks. i can't imagine a set of o2 sensors already going bad.

I disagree... if it's a secondary O2 sensor (after catalytic converter, just checking for emissions) ok... but if it's a primary is going to make the car run with the default map because can't correct the A/F ratio.
and that isn't that good for the engine (usually runs extremely rich)

Thanks guys the reply. I went back today to advanced auto parts check the codes again cause i was missing info. so i'm getting 3 codes

1-P0158- it says high volts in Bank 2 sensor 2

2- P2A03 Bank 2 sensor 1- the machine says range performance. Also labeled as "PENDING"

3- P0158 AGAIN. Bank 2 sensor 2. This time labeled as "PENDING"

So the AutoZone guys said if you fix bank 2 sensor 2 you might get rid of all the codes. i don’t know

kramykram i stuff my sensors with whatever berk sent me. it wasn’t much tough, that’s what i thought at the time but the light went away till now 10 months later. Where do I get more of that material to stuff the o2 sensor? i hope thats the problems.

However, before I stuff the sensors, i used to get only one code P0158. The difference now, its that i just had the Hpipe of the borla exhaust removed and a magnaflow muffler welded. anyways, i'm going to lift my car and re stuff the sensors where cai get more of that mesh or whatever it is to stuff the plug.
Ataru074 or anyone- how can I check how rich my car is running, I’m going to buy an OBII reader but I want to get one that gives me live information.

Well I stuffed the O2 sensors with more steel wool. Tomorrow I going to buy the actron CP 9180 obd 2 scanner and will reset the check engine light. Is there any way to detect if the problem has been solved without waiting for the check engine light to come back on? I think the CP9890 is able to check the car while the engine is running, so I’m wondering if the scanner will let me know if the problem persists right away.
