You don't have to pay for a whole new tune each time you add mods. For example frank only charges $150 for a touch up.

Am I the only one that sees a 30-40FT/LB torque increase between 2500 and 5k RPM instead of the 11HP final gain?

AJ, please update your sig then. apologies if it came off the wrong way, but you have NO idea how many people out there throw on an exhaust, rip off a 14.X 1/4 and think they're vin diesel all of a sudden.

the $ for the tune is not dumb to me, that kind of money is not alot with regards to my annual car budget, the throttle response was pissing me off, and originally i had planned on waiting a year or two to see if A. i still had the car and B. if I wanted to do a HFC/Header combo. I just happen to like driving this car more then i thought I would (could be the fact theres no fumes constantly coming into the cockpit, I don't jar my kidneys when a hit a pebble or even the fact it has a/c). I literally spent $4,200 on a new roller rocker setup and solid cam for my convertible last year, on which I went from a 12.5 to a 12.2 in the 1/4 and picked up 2mph trap. I thought and still do think that it was money well spent (sadly my coupe, though the better looking IMO is a bit of a dog, typically runs 13.X, new engine being built this fall should hopefully remedy that).

I am driving my coupe down to Frederick for a car show June 3rd weekend, if you are around and your car is running faster then a 14.0, I'd love to check it out and see what you've done to it. I am trying to get up to New england Dragway next weekend to see how the Z runs, I am estimating a 13.3 - 13.4....

Estimating you run a 13.3-13.4 usually ends up in actually running a high 13.....just sayin'.

Comparing 1/4 mile times is just as dumb as comparing dyno numbers. Different tracks, different dynos, different numbers..

Just wanted to throw that out there.

And btw who cares if he tuned just for the exhaust? Was it absolutely necessary? no.. but he will get more mods and only have to pay a little more to re-tune. Tuning with just exhaust is not as dumb as not tuning with full boltons...

Usually i'd agree, however a stock 2007HR runs a 13.7 according to the mags, and I have seen two HR's at NED run low 13's, one def had at least an exhaust, not sure on the other one. I would imagine I shaved off at least .3, particularly with the tune, the exhaust shouldn't hurt either? I will admit I have not run this car yet, so others would be more of an expert on this then I am, however seems reasonable.

I agree on comparing 1/4 mile times, but I don't think we were trying to...., at least i wasn't, good point though!

I have dragged with a couple HR's! Stock HR's are running Mid 13's or less. I am very conservative being on a stock clutch. I usually don't even heat the tires and run a 13.65 1/4 mile. I know my car has alot more in it. I'm just not a drag racer. I prefer tracks.

I'd like to get a Giken clutch & flywheel and possibly some DR's. Andre has run low 13's-12.9 with a tune, clutch, DR's and test pipes. I forget exactly whats done to his car. If it has a full exhaust or not. I don't think it does.

My best is a 13.7 @ 106 with just exhaust and 3.7 FD. Our track here is terrible, only prepped at the beginning of the day and I can never get out there until late. Open diff is what's killing me.. I spin all the way through 2nd LOL.

I changed my sig to this for a reason and apparently its working better than I thought it would lol.

If you feel like it was worth it for you to do it more power to you. I can just see noobs coming in here thinking they should tune because they added an exhaust then realizing later they will need another one when they install something else.

We've been lacking meets in the area this year so I'd be down for riding up there. Let me know where exactly and I'll be there. I dont think my car has ever run 14's. Maybe on a messed up run or something.

Healey's are no slumps. Triumph had dual weber carbs with an overdrive conversion.

Again, your ignorance chimes in! When you actually contribute then you can discuss attitude with me. Do you post anything credible?. You sound like a punk to me. Troll else where's!

Wow, kinda eye opening isn't it. Streetzlegend what kit does STS sell at $1600. Def. not for the Z. There was one guy on here that tried to build his own rear mounted turbo and blew his motor!
