I did mine about almost 1-2 months ago. So far im at 700 miles with no CEL...

would be nice to find a permanent fix. I agree about the hole being too big, would be nice to have some kind of solid peice that you could drill out with a very small hole..but i duno if too small would even work though...

lol i will never talk to those guys @ forged again. id rather spend the money to learn to tune with osiris than ask them for anything.

Why u say u won't talk to forged again? When it comes to tuning, I swear by sharif. I build my own cars but tuning always will go to forged!

My CEL came back on for a short period and then turned off by itself. I check the codes and it was for the same codes as before...but wonder why it came on and off? wierd... lol

So you're saying that the code was still saved on the ECU but the light was no longer on? That is very odd. I've never seen a code for these turn off by itself.. sure the battery didn't go dead or anything?

Well I did reset the ecu when I did the defoulers and Brillo fix...rode Around for about 700-800 miles and then the light came back on....then the light just shut itself off after about 150-250 miles or so...I didn't even notice it for a while lol...I never cleared the codes when I checked em with my scanner either...which is another reason It was wierd....

I was under the same impression as you...guess that's not the case tho?

Bump for a fix! Any updates?

I have a 2007 Infiniti G35s Sedan with the HR motor. GTM RTP & Stillen CBE

I'm throwing P0420 and need a fix. I'm running GTM RTPs and they already have the extended bung on them. You think I'll be fine with just added some stainless steel wool or should I add another set of defoulers?

If I do both, do you guys have any pictures of how you guys packed the defoulers?

Thanks!

Adam

Where exactly should I stuff it?

Behind the little hole right? Around how much steel wool should I use? Around - 1/2" x 1/2" cube?

So does a reflash/tune get rid of the CEL.

Seems to be most HFC are the only ones that stand a chance.

For the record I have ART Pipes with no CEL. I've had them for about 1000 miles now.

take the 02 sensor out, stuff it really good in each defouler. stuff it so you can barely blow thru it. after you have it like that. stuff it lightly almost to the top. then screw the o2 sensor in. this will help to keep the packed steel wool from blowing out.
