Default fuel injector o rings to replace valve cover seals

Ok, so I've been looking around for replacement rubber seals for the valve cover and I havent found any. The only way to get them is by buying new valve covers. I was on Summitracing.com and stumbled onto their fuel injector o rings. They look identical. Does anyone think its possible that they might fit?

Has onyone been able to find replacement seals otherwise??

I know I'm in the wrong section since I drive and 03. But I'm sure this problem is universal.

Thanks

I'm not sure why omsin523 thought you were thinking about using fuel injector O-rings as valve stem seals, so I'd discount what he said.

O-rings must do more than "look identical" to work correctly. Without knowing the specs for the ones used on the valve covers, you'd be guessing for the most part.

exactly, so if we find out what size the valve seals are, with their dimensions, we could find something to replace them, essentially all we need to do is find the same size, or even just the exact dimensions, and from there, it would be possible to find replacements from other cars, or to get your own made...this would save many z owners lots of money. and why not exhaust every possibility before spending 500bucks, on simply parts for a simple fix.

you guys are talking about 2 very different items.

valve cover spark plug tube seals versus valve seat/seals

I believe the OP is trying to replace the valve cover seals w out spending 400 dolalrs on a new set of valve covers.
