Default VQ35HR 60,000 Mile "No More Warrantee" Thread

Anyone else? I am nearing 62k. I had a Cat/02 sensor go bad and the clutch slave replace. Other than that the car has been doing pretty well. It hesitates RARELY when it is cool and under load at low RPM (engine makes like a gargling sound when accelerating like that). Other than that, no complaints here.

Wow.. you drive a lot more than me.. I have <10k miles, but lost my warranty when I installed my turbo. The only problem I have is the annoying rattle in the hatch.

i have that fricking rattle in the hatch... god i hate that ****... annoys the hell outta me. I brought it to nissan to get it checked. The service guy walks and pops my trunk and starts twisting the springs that are attached to the trunk. He tried to tell me that you can adjust the springs this way... Ive now discovered that twisting them does absolutely nothing!

almost got 11,000 on my 07 .. I average about 1750 miles a month, so give me a few more years

only thing I have "wrong" is recently the piece of trim in between the gauge cluster and the windshield rattles .. stops when I hold it with my finger

oh and I also notice a rattle from the rear hatch every now and then

probably end up fixing it next week at work since we dont have anything better to do

^ Transmission is covered under powertrain and the cats are covered under an emissions warranty that is good for 96 months/ 80k miles.

i'm almost at 57k and the only thing i worry about is (with the windows down) that stupid high-pitched squeal coming from the right side... has anyone ever gotten this resolved? searched a few times and a bunch of people said they couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

I have the 7yr/100,000

29k on my 07....a lot of miles put on the first year, then I moved MUCH closer to work and I'm only putting on 5k a year just for work instead of 15.5k. Don't go out much and if I do it's close by.

My soft touch trunk button had to be replaced due to faulty sealing, other then that I've had no problems.

Ninja edit: I also had the infamous window motor roll down when using auto up, but warranty doesn't cover the $100 re-program for that, though the service tech gave me that for free anyways.

^wtf??? you paid for the 7 year / 100k warranty is the a$$holes tried to tell you its not covered? i know you still got it for free and all, but if they ever try that sh*t again, call them out on it. the only thing that the warranty won't cover is wear items and anything that was caused by any aftermarket parts you have, you shouldn't have to pay for anything else. especially the stupid window thing, which is obviously a manufacturing defect seeing as just about every z has that...

Wouldn't have mattered if I bought the 7/100k or if I just had the standard warranty; it's not covered under warranty, it's considered and adjustment or some ish like that. Nothing I can do about it. If you are that offended by it, talk to the warranty underwriters, lol.

But, in any event, I do agree with you.

The main reason I bought the 7/100k is because I bought a roadster and convertible top repairs can be costly, actually, just one average repair for the top can cost up to 2k and I got the 7/100k for $800 and some change. Everyone knows convertible tops will always, eventually give you trouble.

They told me motor replacement was covered. But thanks for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind next time the window starts acting up again.

85,000 on my Z, no major problems at all. It has been a good car. Trading it in tomorrow for a 2011 Mustang GT
