Default Quick question about the HR engine layout.

Not sure if this question been asked before, but I couldn't find a thread that talks about it. (if someone can link me to it, i appreciate)
I've read and did some research on it, but please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
HR engine layout:
Engine --> Header --> Cat --> Catback exhaust.

Also "true dual cat-back exhaust" means everything from the cat and down? including y-pipe?

Thanks.

True dual exhaust doesn't incorporate a Y-pipe. Some may use an X-pipe but other then that they are exactly what they say "true dual" 3 cylinders per pipe! This is what I am using. Great high RPM gains. With my HKS system, I have a surprisingly deep sound with no drone!.. I luv it...

so true duel exhaust is not always come with y-pipe, it could comes with x-pipe or h-pipe, it's really depends on the brand or the company that made them?
also, let's just say, you can always mix and match the y-pipe of this brand with a diff exhaust brand right?

love the way your car sounds, i might end up getting the hks then

HKS basically has an H-pipe but there is no exhaust cross over like with X-pipe true dual exhaust systems.

I have Crawford HFC's and Stillen headers. Which also help make up some of the sound.

Be sure to listen to different systems. Some sound like A$$!... You get what you pay for.

yes it is a true dual.

the vendor topspeed is selling it for under 800 shipped on here. I have no complaints with mine whatsoever. quality is great and fitment was perfect, especially for the price. no drone or rasp at all as the x pipe in the mid section helps drastically.

I think you got it. Kind of. This true dual exhaust never mixes exhaust from cylinders 1-3-5 with 2-4-6. There is no Y-pipe to combine the two sides.

ARK has a true dual out. Check them out if you're looking at true duals and compare. Depends on what you think sounds good.

No. I will show this again with photo. Exhaust gas from cylinders 1-3-5 and 2-4-6 are combined here.
