Default Random engine question...

ok so i have done research and cant find anything.

trying to find info on weather or not the HR is an interference engine. i know most chain driven engines are not, but can not find any clarification on the HR motor anywhere.

Yes, it is, an interference engine.
If you skip timing you will bend valves.

Interference engines rely on timing gears, chains, or belts to prevent the piston from striking the valves by ensuring that the valves are closed when the piston is near top dead center. The main advantage is that it allows engine designers to maximize the engine's compression ratio. If that means anything to you.

Our stock chains are good until ~200k.

yeah im not worried about the chain, and i know what and why they do it (im a tech) just couldnt find info on our engines weather or not they are. thanks
