So I took my 07 to specialty Z this morning to get tuned and I'm really happy with my numbers. And glad I took it in. I was running so lean Sebastian wouldn't even do a full baseline tune. Mods include test pipes, cat back, injen intakes and a lightened flywheel. I put 298 down. Hoping after some long tube headers in the distant future I can break 300whp.
Oh I see. So you didn't get one when you were completely stock?
Nah, never had a totally stock baseline. Actually started modding the car on accident lol. Noticed I needed new air filters when I was changing my oil and my friend happened to have injen long tubes sitting in his garage, and at that point I just threw everything on.
lol started by accident but probably will never stop modding. What exhaust do you have and have you thought about getting 4.08 gears? Also on the dyno chart the baseline is done 20 mins before the pull after the tune. He tuned your car that fast :0

Yeah, he ended up doing a bunch of pulls and they were all 297-298, that was just the highest one. We let the car cool down for about an hour then went again and were getting the same numbers. I think he has a base tune for cars with these particular mods so only minor adjustments were needed after that.
Exhaust is actually a godspeed. I figured if I was gonna get a tune it would be a waste to not have an exhaust on so I picked it up and installed it last minute really cheaply. Well I wouldn't say really cheaply since fitment was so terrible they had to use 11 gaskets to get it to stop leaking.
And I don't plan on doing gears any time soon just cuz I DD the car and can't afford that large a loss on gas mileage

Oh I see. Well that means after a proper exhaust you should be in the 300 range. Actually the gears bearly affects your mpg. Give the gears sticky a read. Also of people have that misunderstanding that it drastically reduces mpg. Am in the process of doing mine as we speak. Gears are already in my other diff.
