Default De and hr questions

OK so the back story... I have a 2004 Z enthusiast model with 128xxx miles on it. The motor has been heavily beat on and is now on its way out. My question...

My buddy is offering to sell me his 07 hr motor with 47xxx miles on it for 1100.(selling for Ls swap). Will the de wiring harness, and the ecu work with the hr or will I have to source those parts? Would the ecu just require a basic reflash to the hr parameters?

Any help would be great but please save the opinoins. I could care a less what swap you would do.

The short of it is no

The long of it is you'd need the tranny, a new ecu to be flashed, and a custom harness that some company round here makes for 2000$

let him gives you his HR ecu and harness. even if he asked for more.. still the deal worth it.

you would also need the dash cluster because of the higher redline on the HR's, transmission, ecu and harness (but he will need those for the ls swap). it has been done but it is not plug and play

might be easier and more cost effective to rebuild the DE engine . Really depends on your plans for the future.
