Default having Evap leak :(

So this Evap leak has been killing me. 2007 350z with 128k miles. engine and transmission are healthy. so one day driving I get a check engine light on, I can feel the blood going through my veins, so scary. anyways I decide to diagnose step by step.

I get the code P0455, assumed it was my gas cap, but I didn't even fill up, but tightened it, cleared the code, cool.

30 miles later, came back. I assumed the gas cap was bad so bought a oem one. cleared code, came back 30 miles later.

I read that it could be the canister control valve, replaced it. 30 miles later after clearing it came back.

this time I noticed my canister had a little bit of play. I went ahead and secured it tight. it didn't come back on for 500 miles until today.

I smoked tested it twice couldn't find any leaks. but starting today I started to drive with my windows down and noticed a gas smell, kinda strong, it would come and go. I also get about 40 miles for every quarter tank, don't know if that's normal lol using premium. wanted to see what should I do next?
