Default Drivetrain slack

I've got an 08 350z and I seem to have some slop in my drivetrain. When going from engine braking to accelerating, there's a smidgen of a surge like there is some slack in the drivetrain that is being taken up. Also, when cruising around 2k in third I notice it sometimes "bucks" a little bit, like it's hitting this slack and bouncing off. It seemed to have gone away after installing my new clutch and solid flywheel, but come back slightly. I recently installed a jwt clutch and flywheel and wonder if maybe it's just the dampening Springs in the clutch disk wearing in and becoming a little softer. I was also thinking maybe worn u joints or possibly even weak shock absorbers (more thinking of the bucking on that one). Any advice would be appreciated

Looks like it's in the process of disassembly/assembly as the bolts are out of that exhaust section.
