Default Question about swapping an HR into a 2003 350z

So my engine just blew on my 2003 350z cause of rod knocking, and I have to get a new one.

After looking through the forums a little I found a post selling his vq35HR with the ecu, tranny, and most the stuff I would guess you would need for a swap, almost as much as a vq35de would cost alone.. Do all the brackets and mounts line up between the two motors? or is there some fabrication required. I would be paying someone else to do the swap and was just wondering if its more work than its worth. Thanks a lot ahead of time.

Definitely more work and $$ than it's worth, especially with the HR Z's getting cheaper as they get older. Sell the '03 and start over.

Welcome- do a little more research and you'll find swapping an HR into a DE car isn't easy or cheap. You'll need almost the entire front clip to have all the parts needed. More then that, you'll need an electrical expert to matchup all the pinouts from the HR harness to the DE Z. You'll always have some CELs showing on the dash no matter what happens.
