This may be a cause or a coincidence. But last Friday I was driving through an ice storm when my motor starting losing power and was misfiring. I got a bunch of 02 codes, and random misfires code. For a few days afterwards everything seemed ok. It sputtered a bit at idle, but nothing other than that.

Today, I was driving, and the engine was sputtering again, I dropped a gear, and shot the RPM's into 3k-4k. Everything was fine for a while. No sputtering, no loss of power. Then all of a sudden I lost all power. Every time I pushed on the throttle, it didn't register. Then it would idle low into the 400-500rpm range, and sputter the entire time. There was a strong gas smell. My short fuel trim was like -22, the other was -9 during this incident. Now my motor will just randomly sputter and I'll lose all power randomly when driving like I said above. Turning the car off, then on is a temporary fix. Here are the codes:

P0138: 02 Sensor Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0158: 02 Sensor Circuit High Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 2
P2A03: 02 Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1
P0171: System Too Lean Bank 1

The only odd thing about these codes, is sometimes I'll also get a System Too Rich one as well. The P0171 code is new just yesterday. I haven't had the time to take a look at my plugs, or really anything due to the weather here in Iowa.

Also one last important piece. It's 08, AT, with 205xxxx miles on it, and test pipes.

 

I guess my question here. Is where do I start looking? When the engine sputters like that, I also get a fuelsys1 OL-Fault and fuelsys2 OL-Fault

Turns out it was my B2S2 O2 sensor. Swapped it out, and it solved everything. It was charred and burnt. No clue why, other than the fact that it has 206,000 miles on it.

You did have a lean code as well that could have damaged that sensor. Would check for vacuum leaks.
