Default RPM drops upon startup

Hey guys, so for about 1-2 months i’ve noticed that when my engine is warm and i start it up the rpm drops from initial rpm to 0-100 then shoots back up sometimes to avoid this i’ll gently tap the gas to basically keep the rpm’s up so it won’t drop. The reason i’m making this post is because yesterday when starting it I didn’t tap the gas and for the first time ever it stalled on it’s own, I turned it back on and it stalled again. I then proceeded to remove the key and turn it on again and it turned on and stayed on.

Now some for information on my car
2008 350z HR, Automatic, 133,xxx Miles
Mods:
Single exit
Z1 Long Ram Intakes

Ive tried to clean the throttle bodies roughly when installing the intakes but only from the outside and didn’t touch the butterfly valve at all since i’ve hear horror stories. I’ve unplugged the battery and did the idle relearn and no avail. As of right now that’s where i’m at. The only issues currently is a mild exhaust leak on my mid pipe to y pipe connector due to being low and the valve covers gaskets are toasted (will be replacing soon), could it possibly be the valve covers? anyone else had/has this issue?

First step would be to pull the codes (even if the SES/CEL is not on). There are some similar threads that talk about what you're describing.

I had found those threads prior to making mine but there was no update on if they ever found a fix besides the OP saying the fuel pump possibly, It has thrown a code yet though. Will a cheap ol scanner still read something or would I need something more fancy? Today im going to check the MAFs and see if I installed them backwards when installing the intakes.

Any basic scanner should be able to pull the codes if they're stored in the ECU. If your scanner comes back with nothing, you can always try taking it to an auto parts store and they'll scan it with one of their scanners.

If there are still no codes, then I do not envy the rabbit hole you're about to go down.
