Is that a joke? The new 2009 G37 Sedan is pulling a 13.5. Sh*t, the HR Z's are pulling 13.3's . Have u been living under a rock for the past 2 years? The new Z is going to be pulling 12.7-12.8 times all day long, and I wouldnt be surprised if we saw even lower than that.

Most maufacturers don't release a 1/4 mile time for performance cars, just a 0-60mph. I say 4.8-4.9 seconds.

However, I feel most car mags will be able to get a very low 13 second 1/4 mile pass out of the 370Z, maybe even a high 12.

Lol... I love bench racing I've won many titles the past 10 years. Other than that I do believe that it will run under 13 secs all day like other posters have said. We really won't know until the car actually comes out.

here's a thought, rather than "guessing", why not wait for it to be available then see how it does, or is that too far fetched?

It'll definitely be a 10 second car

The numbers you quote are the best of times for stock cars, not the average. Sure some might drive a stock 370z to high 12's, but the conditions are going to need to be extremely favorable. Most people are going to drive it to low 13's.

Umm, with 114 mph trap speeds, you'd be doing about 12.5 ET.
And you'd need A LOT more than 350 hp in a 3300 lbs car to trap 114 mph.

As I've said before, if it's 340-350 hp the times will be in the
12.9-13.0 @ 108-109 mph range.

With our current 350Z (HR engines), the best has been a 13.1 sec down the 1/4 mile with traps up to 108 mph, I think.

I think with the new 370Z, we'll probably see a pass as fast as 12.7 seconds with traps up to 110.5 mph. Of course, this is with negative DA and with great track conditions as well. I don't think my expectations are unrealistic. We were proven wrong with the capabilities of the HR. I expect the same with the Z34.

Low 13's. About the same as stock C5. Not bad.

Will it be faster then the Porcshe Cayman S or Just the Cayman/Boxster? At one point the 350Z was faster then the Boxster then came the Porcshe upgrade.

HR Z's are making around 13.2-13.4 average stock. If you look at times posted. I can't see the 370 doing much better then 12.9.... Is there actually any hp and trq garanteed numbers out yet?? That makes it easier. I don't think the 3.7's are putting out that much more power then the HR's to have a huge difference in times..

Do any of you actually drag race?

You are insane!

a 400hp LS2 C6 6 speed is a very high 12 second car at 110-113 mph.

Your 370 Z's will be around 13.3-5 at 106-7.

It STILL won't be a fast car.
