your screwed.... there is nothing to do in Calgary. There is close to ZERO night life here in comparison to other "big" cities.

At least its not as bad as Edmonton haha!

Let me know whether or not you're taking your kids then I'll give you some suggestions -- or give me a call.

Go for supper at the Calgary tower it has a large rotating restraunt at the top of the tower. If you have kids go to the Zoo or Calaway Park(its and amusment park). If you have time rent a car and take a day to drive out to the mountains the would be the best thing to do. Compaired to big US citys there is not much to do.
EDIT: I see your from Van the mountains wont be that exciting for you. Some pubs downtown have some nice talent other than that not much going on.

If you do go to the Calgary Tower be prepared to pay around/over 100$ for two people (for some pretty shitty food). The view on the other hand is not bad. Calaway Park ... ive lived in Calgary for 15 years and I have never been there haha.... I dont plan on ever going either. If your still here when the Stampede comes to town check that out instead!

Tyrell Museum of Paleontology in Drumheller is cool. Olympic park might be cool. Banff is cool. Jasper is cool. Could head up to West Edmonton mall on the weekend. I caught a Roughneck's Lacrosse game last time I was in town, that was alright. Check out the Calgary tower. When does the Stampede start again?

Yep, wife and kids are coming too Harold. We've already planned a trip to Drumheller as well, kids are crazy about dinosaurs.

Check this out Derrick... http://www.heritagepark.ca/
My friend in Calgary takes his kids there often.
Zoo is good as well... and Drumheller is a must for kids.
You can always take C-Train to see a cross-section of the city.

Funny you should mention that. My friend just moved their temporarily for work and she's already complaining after a week that she's bored out of her skull. I've got nothing against Calgary as I've only been there for like a day, but just thought I'd throw that out there

Drumheller is cool. West Edmonton mall is something to see they have a large waterpark, indoor amusment park and an aquarium that has seal showes if your kids are young they might like that.
