Nismo wheels and tires
Does anyone know if the tires that came on my stock Rays track model wheels fit the Nismo LMGT4 wheels?
Lastly, should I even mess with my track model suspension by installing Hotchkis springs and sway bars?
Thanks!!

if you got the 8.5's all around i think they would but i'd just get some bigger tires and staggered wheels/tires. I'm not sure what the size difference is between the widths of the track tires compared to enthusiast tires though, so i might be wrong.
I don't believe there is anything special in the Track over the other models. The track has special wheels and Brembo brakes. The rest of the suspension is the same, therefore it will benefit from springs and sways just like any Z will.
thanks for the info on the suspension. i really had no idea.
as far as the wheels go, i will need new back tires very soon and I was just wondering if they would work for now.
does anyone know what the limitations on varying tire size are? i would eventually put bigger tires on in any case, i just wouldnt mind getting the wheels now but dont want to spend the bank on new tires right this minute. basically, will they safely work in the time being??

The oem Track model rims are:
8" front with 225/45/18 tires
8.5" rear with 245/45/18 tires
The Nismo LMGT4 rims are:
8.5" front with 245/40/18 tires
9.5" rear with 275/40/18 tires
You probably should not squeeze the narrow stock tires onto the Nismo rims. It would look goofy (stretching the tires out to fit) and would probably be out of spec with the tire manufacturer's ratings. I'd recommend saving up and getting them all at the same time.
If you ever want to know which tire sizes fit which rim sizes, go to the tire manufacturer's website and look at the spec chart for the tire you're after. You'll find every single tire size made for a given model of tire, and the acceptable rim widths for each size.
On that note, I'd recommend going with a 255/40/18 in the front, as this will reduce understeer a bit more and is actually a more correct front size for this car. The only problem with a 255/40/18 is that they can be hard to find.
