First time tire replacement - lil help please?
Hi everyone, I am going to likely replace my front tires on a 2004 Touring 350z. I had the cupping/roaring problems, and Nissan did a warranty alignment adjustment, but they refuse to replace the front tires. The alignment fixed the roading a little bit, but not too much, perhaps the tires will wear more evenly and fix themsevles partially in the long run.
Anyway, I am looking to replace my front tires soon. They have 11.5K miles on them and are the Bridgestone default tires that came from the factory I believe. I want something around the same quality, not looking for anything too fancy, but a slight upgrade isn't a problem either. What should I get and what can I expect to pay for the tires and labor, etc. Where should I buy them?
I'd also like to hear your experiences about tire life in general on your 2004 Zs. Thanks.

Tire life is bad. We all know this, and we accept it. Those that don't, come on this board and complain. I tell them to sell their 350Z or live with it and enjoy it. Now as for tires. I would recommend you go to www.tirerack.com and see what they offer in your size. Then read the customer reviews and check the ratings for the tire.
Yeah, I heard that the pilot sports are the best tire to get to combat against that thing we call feathering. I have gotten about 14000 miles out of my stock tires but had to deal with the roaring problem for awhile now the girlfriend doesn't say anything about it so it really didn't bother me. It is getting pretty bad now so I am forced to make a gametime decision. So I will be getting the pilot sports all the way around.
Hope this helps.

I just wish Nissan was more responsive.... I've tried everything to get them to cover the tire replacement. They have basically said "replace the tires and save your receipt just in case."
Has anyone had success with getting 04 350Z front tires replaced on Nissan's dime? My car is a 2004, but manufactered in 09/03.
